Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has threatened to “flog” Babangida Aliyu, the former governor of Niger state, for referring to him as a dictator.
Aliyu allegedly remarked in an interview last weekend that a specific “dictator in Rivers State” was behind Uche Secondus’ troubles because of a “personal ambition to either become Vice President or a political godfather.”
“No PDP congress has been convened in Niger State because of Aliyu’s dictatorial tendencies,” Wike said in a video that has since gone viral. He also accused him of being a political liability in the PDP, accusing him of working against the party’s victory in the 2015 presidential election.
The Rivers state governor was also overheard threatening to “flog” Aliyu, claiming that he believes “it is still that period they were roaming around saying they are battling PDP.”
